CRUCIAL FIRST STEPS WHEN YOUR BIKE HAS A BREAKDOWN

Step 1: Move your bike to a safe place

where no one is at risk. E.g. on the hard shoulder, in a parking bay or at the side of the road.

Step 2: Turn on the hazard warning lights

to protect other road users.

Step 3: Put your high-visibility jacket on

That way, you won’t be in any unnecessary danger.

Step 4: Secure your vehicle

Switch on low-beam headlights and position the warning triangle if available (50 metres in front of the motorcycle in towns, 100 metres outside towns, or between 150 and 400 metres on motorways).
